Submission for the Yogscast Game Jam 2019: Giving!

Help a first responder robot give aid in a disaster.

Made in 48hrs using Gamemaker Studio 1, and Aseprite.

Post Jam Update:

Thank you to everyone who played my game during the jam! I've made a small update that incorporates fixes based on the feedback I received. I will still include the original file if you want to see what I submitted to the jam. The update includes:

  • Tighter platforming controls. Minor adjustments which should make moving about more enjoyable.
  • More sound effects.
  • More animations (Still pretty subtle).
  • Allowing players to reset to last checkpoint by pressing "R".
  • A new, more readable font.
  • Various bug fixes.
  • To play the updated version, please download the file labeled  "Post Jam Update".

Install instructions

  • Download the game.
  • Unzip the file.
  • Launch "Givebot 2019"

If using Windows 10, the OS may prevent the exe from running due to a lack of a publisher. If this happens, just click "more info", then "Run Anyway".
