ABOUT

The Verdant Maze is a small project I started in 2017 to learn RPG Maker. However, it was not finished until 2023. There was a long pause in development due to many IRL events.

This game is complete, but ends on a low note. My original vision in 2017 was to have multiple sequels, building off the sad ending of this game towards something larger. However, that is very unlikely to happen now. I invite you to enjoy this game for what it is, without counting on future sequels.

STORY

A fresh new adventurer claims a mysterious quest to find the Verdant Gems. These gems are scattered about a town called the Verdant Maze. Its citizens are strange folk who live in buildings scattered across a puzzling stone garden maze.

• Classic RPG Maker VX Ace graphics and music.

• Almost no combat, mainly story and puzzle.

TIPS

The main goal is to collect Verdant Gems by completing various quests. To find these quests, explore the maze. If you find yourself stuck, check out the basement in the Item Shop, which can be found east of the starting area. If you're struggling on a particular part, post a comment below. I'll help out when I have time :)
